The Partners

Malcolm and Alison Mackinnon

Now retired academics, they became involved in the wine business when they bought part of a 35 acre vineyard at Willunga in 1987. This became a Fox Creek Vineyard when Fox Creek Wines was formed in 1993.

On leaving the Fox Creek partnership in 1999, they — together with Garry and Nancy Watson and Ian and Pene Davey — bought the 20 acre Nine Gums Vineyard in 2001, and the first Brick Kiln Shiraz was from the 2002 harvest.

Recently, the Watsons and the Daveys have left the Nine Gums Vineyard Partnership leaving Malcolm and Alison to pursue their passion.
