• Mackinnons & Daveys Adelaide based, Watsons live in Toronto
• Brick Kiln Shiraz name derived from Brick Kiln Bridge along Almond Grove Road approaching the vineyard

Aim: to make a McLaren Vale shiraz the equal of Fox Creek Reserve (the Mackinnons were foundation partners in Fox Creek) to be sold at a more affordable price point.

• Malcolm Mackinnon - Retired gastroenterologist & former Professor, School of Medicine, Flinders University. Director, Fox Creek Wines 1993-1999. Golfer, wine lover, & managing partner Nine Gums.
• Alison Mackinnon - Writes women’s history - Emeritus Professor UNISA 2006. Director, Fox Creek Wines 1993-1999. Wine lover, author, bushwalker.
• Garry Watson - Academic lawyer - Emeritus Professor York University 2009 - Wine lover, author, passionate promoter of Australian wine in Canada & retired tennis player.
• Nancy Watson - Senior Research Associate, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Currently Consultant in Educational Research and Evaluation. Wine lover & intrepid traveller.
• Ian Davey - Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research & International) UNISA 1994 - 2006. Emeritus Professor UNISA 2006 - Wine & fine cheese lover & devotee of Araucaria’s cryptic crosswords in the Guardian.
• Pene Davey - Director, TAFE Institutes (various), 1993 - 2004. Wine lover, passionate reader, walker & overseas traveller.
