- Brick Kiln Shiraz name derived from Brick Kiln Bridge along Almond Grove Road approaching the vineyard
Aim: to make a McLaren Vale shiraz the equal of Fox Creek Reserve (the Mackinnons were foundation partners in Fox Creek) to be sold at a more affordable price point.

- Garry Watson - Academic lawyer - Emeritus Professor York University 2009 - Wine lover, author, passionate promoter of Australian wine in Canada & retired tennis player.
- Nancy Watson - Senior Research Associate, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Currently Consultant in Educational Research and Evaluation. Wine lover & intrepid traveller.
